Distribution Centre Manager—GTA 

We’ve had the privilege of working with this first-class company for many years; they’re a well-established dominant player in their field, supplying over 1400 product skus to most major and many specialty Canadian retailers alike.You’ll manage many startup aspects of this new 200,000+ square foot, two-shift Distribution Centre including staffing, facilities and equipment to most effectively and efficiently receive, store, process and ship products in a timely, cost efficient manner. You’ll assist in selecting your team members from both a current work staff and new team additions. Work with and manage/coach team members on both the start up and ongoing issues and processes. This operation does have seasonal fluctuations requiring workforce adjustments primarily using temporary workers. The company is an SAP user and is additionally going to implement RF technology.You can demonstrate retailer/supplier distribution operations expertise; ideally, you’ve been through a facility startup. The selected individual will travel to their U.S. corporate office for systems training and subsequently will be expected to provide leadership by example and focus to the facility staff through planning, organization and direction of daily resources.  Position also requires labour budgeting skills. This is a company that is looking for candidates that can grow with them.  Merchant-Dominant Retailer (Toronto location)

Reporting to the Merchandising Director, the Merchandising Manager establishes the strategic direction for the assigned product groups (i.e. pricing, expansion, distribution, competition, financial objectives, etc.) ensuring Merchandising goals and objectives are communicated and pursued by all direct reports. Assists in the development and implementation of the business plans (product selection, budgets, marketing, sales, etc.) for assigned product groups. Develops annual product sales and margin budgets for assigned product groups and related assortments. Reviews annual turnover budgets as prepared by the Inventory Manager and incorporates agreed-upon numbers into the annual business plan. Translates these annual projects into financial implications (ROI, inventory investment, display space, sales and margin per foot) for management approval. Serves as the leader for the Merchandising team for the assigned product groups. Conducts periodic reviews of assigned product groups and makes determinations/recommendations as to the content and breath of the offering within each group. Conducts annual product group reviews to determine changes/improvements as needed. Develops, reviews, and approves advertising and marketing plans. Works closely with the Planogram Department to establish planogram/display concepts with consideration to appearance, labor costs, and sales rate/inventory turnover performance. Communicates with vendors and stores on a regular basis to discuss product issues and handle product group problems. The Merchandising Manager will collaborate with functional leads in the U.S to support the growth of the Canadian business.
A minimum of 5 years direct buying accountability with a large format retailer is preferred; experience in Electrical or Plumbing is a definite asset. Vendor candidates looking to transition to Retail will also be considered.

Regional Sales Manager—Aviation industry—OKC
An internationally known leader of aerospace components is seeking to add a sales executive based in Oklahoma. This individual will work closely with existing customers to sell and support the company’s products, with a strong emphasis on developing the business potential with Tinker AFB and their aerospace contractors and suppliers. Minimum qualifications are a strong technical aptitude, good sales skills, strong project management, self-motivation, computer literate, strong presentation experience, Consistent visits to established accounts, experience dealing with a longer sales cycle and strong business development skills are ideal.
The successful candidate will work from home, reporting to the west coast-based VP, Sales. Some travel to KS may be required to support the territory. A mechanical or aeronautical engineering background, aerospace structures background and home office experience are preferred…but first and foremost, your contact network at Tinker is already established.
